Angel Cordero – Artist | Broadcaster | Veteran
Angel Cordero is a seasoned musician, broadcaster, and U.S. military veteran whose life has been shaped by service, faith, and a lifelong devotion to music.
Born the seventh child in a family of musicians and vocalists, Angel began singing and writing songs in elementary school. Immersed in a rich musical environment from an early age, he developed proficiency in bass, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and music production tools, including drum programming to enhance his live vocal performances.
Throughout his early career in Puerto Rico, Angel performed alongside his father and brothers in multiple musical groups. Their performances spanned community venues and major events in Aguadilla, Moca, Aguada, and San Juan. A notable milestone was performing at La Fortaleza for Governor Ferrer—an experience that solidified his commitment to professional excellence.
During his military service, while stationed in Höfn, Iceland, Angel operated an AFRTS radio station, expanding his communication skills and leadership in broadcasting. His dedication to service continues today, as he actively supports and advocates for veterans through music, media, and community engagement initiatives.
Angel is the founder of AngelAngel Music Radio, an online radio platform dedicated to promoting diverse musical genres, independent artists, and culturally enriching programming. Through this station, he combines his passion for music with his commitment to community impact—providing exposure for artists and creating meaningful connections with listeners locally and internationally.
In addition to his recording and performance career, Angel has served as a professional DJ for many years under the name “Angel Banana,” performing at weddings, anniversaries, cultural celebrations, and community events.
Now based in Louisville, Kentucky, Angel remains deeply grateful for the strong support of the Latino community and the broader metropolitan audience. His work reflects a belief that music transcends generations and genres—it is expansive, evolving, and unifying.
Faith remains central to his life, and he credits God as the foundation of his strength and inspiration.
